Thriving Ivory Concert

Myself, Chuck, Jen and Mark went to the Thriving Ivory concert. (Chuck's second concert, first one being the Collective Soul...we didn't know any of their songs. Someday we need to go to a real concert, but we are not to adventurous so I don't know when that will happen.)
Mark was the first to get on the Thriving Ivory band wagon as they reviewed the CD on 101.9 the end. It was good and he got Jen into it, Jen told me and I liked the music also, the next thing I know, I was buying tickets to the concert. They were cheap.
That night we got the the Murry theater and were in line... Jen and I were talking and a car starts honking... all of a sudden ice is flying everywhere and Jen yells, "it hit me in the head." Well the drink did hit her but it hit Mark in the arm first and he was grateful that it was not his hurt arm that he just got surgery on. We started laughing and I took some pictures. People around us thought that we were weird to be laughing... at least we didn't let it ruin our evening.

The Concert was fun the band is just starting out but the are really good and they were surprised with the 1000 people there.

Afterward, when we got to the car, there was a ticket, we didn't see the "no parking" signs (you think we would look due to the fact that Northridge, California received a lot of our money for parking tickets) so all in all the night was not good but we didn't let the bad parts ruin the evening.

"Devil Cats"

Ellie has a unique personality. She is the kind of cat the bites the hand that feeds her thus this costume is appropriate as she is our little "Devil Cat".
This is our angel April. We couldn't find an angel costume so we dressed her up as a devil too...but it doesn't really fit her personality.
Not a happy cat.
This is ridiculous!

The devil went down to Georgia and is looking for a soul to steal...

If only I could fly.

Chuck and a Butt

This is at Goblin valley, Chuck just had to give it a squeeze

Bear Lake

The first question that Chuck asked when my family chose Bear lake to go water skiing was "are there bears there?" We had had enough bears for one year at Tahoe. We all had a great time and I even got a little more practice on my wakebording skills, I am definitely still a novice but with practice maybe I wont face plant in the water every time I try to go outside the wake. (I must tell you I was very sore from some serious whiplash when I got home)
The other fun boating thing we all learned on this trip was "wake surfing" again very much a novice but learning, Jen is amazing at it ,the point is to ride behind the boat and surf the wake right behind the boat. If you do it right you don't even need a rope to get pulled by the boat because the water pushes you along.

Just on example of the horrible wipe outs. Hey it was only my second time ever wake boarding

Tahoe with the Fobians

We had so much fun in Tahoe Chuck has been talking about wanting to ride a horse since we have moved to Utah and we finally got to go for a ride. It wasn't the best but it was fun my horses head followed the horse butt in front of me very well. We will have to try and get in a real ride sometime, just need to find people that have horses.

They are just sooo cute!!!

We had a great time camping with the family, Misty cooked great food, we actually used the tent Chuck won for being such a great video game player for the first time (he won it four years ago) I guess we never found a good place to camp in California, or we were just too lazy. We even got to sleep with bears. literally the camp next to us in the middle of the night was screaming about the bear in the camp ground. Of course Chuck being Chuck then decides that he needs to use the restroom and me being a great wife I am wouldn't go out side the tent. Are you kidding the camp next door screaming Bear my thought is that you insure that you don't have to go the bathroom, I wasn't leaving that tent. So again Chuck being Chuck again goes over to his sisters tent and wakes her up to go with him. she gets up (makes me look bad) I told Chuck that he better not pull that stunt again the next night.

The next day we actually see the bear, I don't know but seeing the bear with light brown puffy hair actually made me less scared of it although there was no way I was going to get out of my tent even if Chuck has to go the bathroom again.

We watched the fireworks at the lake, went bike riding, horseback riding played games, relaxed and of course ate more food.

I did forget Catrina and I got real creative one night and had a photo shoot this is one of the many photos that came out of that.

We all had a blast and are already trying to decide what to do for the next year Fobian family trip.

Summer Fun!!

So we actually got out this summer, last year we were trying to save money for our house, move out of the condo and lived at my parents while our house was being built so we didn't do anything, we made up for not doing anything last year to doing more this year. First I went to Lake Powell with Andy and Wanda and Wanda's family, the first day was very fun, I had never been there and I must say it is beautiful. We did a few wrong things on the trip

First... we did not have a house boat and had to boat in to our site but we still packed like we were on a house boat it took forever.

Second .... we camped in the bay area, this is not a pretty as everywhere else so i didn't get to actually experience Powell.

Third..... we camped in a tent on a rock. Good thing I brought a pad to sleep on... the ground was still hard!

Fourth.... the wind came and blew and blew and the sand blew and the tent blew and everything blew (remember that lovely rock.... we couldn't stake the tents so when I say blew they were "rolling" around on the rocks)

Fifth .... we left a day early

Mark says that I need to go when he has his house boat so maybe next year it will be more fun.

It was so bad that I don't even have any pictures
